Innovation plays a crucial role in driving change and addressing global challenges such as climate change and gender equality. The Innovation Breakfast event, hosted by the S3i Innovation Centre, Malmö Stad, Malmö FF, Goto 10, and Skåne Startups, served as a warm-up session for startups interested in joining the challenge.
UNOPS S3i Innovation Centre in Sweden has launched The Global Innovation Challenge which invites ambitious entrepreneurs with groundbreaking ideas to contribute to sustainability. The aim of the challenge is to bring together startups from the private sector and foster sustainability. For example, Saveggy, a Global Innovation Challenge alumni, highlighted the potential for innovative solutions to address environmental issues and reduce plastic waste.
The speakers include: Anna Taussi, the Innovation Specialist at UNOPS S3i Innovation Centre Sweden; Ola Andersson, Business Development Manager at Malmö Stad; Karin Heri, Head of Sustainability and Social Responsibility at Malmö FF; Vahid Sohrabpour, Global Innovation Challenge alumni, Co-founder and CEO of Saveggy; Jonas Michanek, the Centre Manager for the UNOPS S3i Innovation Centre Sweden.
